Day Nineteen`Twenty`Twenty-one - 12/13/14 Sept 08

We are back from our 3 days 2 night cruise in 3 gorges. And thank goodness that I've no motion sickness. :D
Day One
Had our 6 hours bus ride to 宜昌to start our 3 gorges tour. But first of all we had our lunch at this Tian Shun.

After which, we had our long journey to our sight-seeing destination and passed-by a total of 5 tunnels.

The BLUES.

And the BLACKS waiting for the bus to our sight-seeing.

So beautiful.

The Sem 1 peeps.

By the time we reached our jetty it's already 7+pm.

And that's our room per 2 people. It's cosy but the air-con ain't working very strongly that we have to open the windows.

Here is the top of the cruise and it's hell windy and cold. But we simply love the breeze. :D

Day Two
We had a tour around the nature sight with Sampan and the uncles, some already with white hair were rafting continuously for the Sampan of 17.

This were the heroes!
It's tiring to raft, especially when reaching the upstream, they had to get down of the Sampan and using their body to pull the Sampan ahead, to against the water flows. Majority of them were skinny but while they are pulling us, the arm, the legs muscles are visible enough.
I know how it's work because we had tried rafting on day 13. They spent 1+ hours to raft us, imagine if it's ourselves, I think we have to raft that for like till dawn.
The U-turning part we get to scope the water using our hands to drink it and it's nicer than the mineral water we had! Not only that, it has beauty purpose!
During the rafting, our sort of lady-in-charge and one of the rafter sang us their songs. It's fab. :D
And you know what, the guys there HAVE to know how to sing love songs in order to woo the girl they desires. Like the rafter who sang us song, he sings well and his wife is beautiful. (:

Team D with our heroes. :D

This is our tag. or that's mine.

The natural mountains and hills we captured during our cruise tour around the 3 gorges.

And look, does this look like any animal to you? It's a frog! :D

And with our tour guide 令子 for this 3 days. Tour guide wasn't that easy to be. Like for ours, he and his partner nearly have to sleep on the top of the cruise (which was freezing at night) since there's insufficient rooms for them. Luckily, the ground area have beds for them, which was 6 in a room and they have to use public toilet for their bathing and everything..

Slack and slept in our room the whole afternoon before heading to the temple at night.
That was Yuting, Samantha and me They said if we touched this statues from head to toe, we'll be blessed.
Lastly, that's Yuting and me with 张飞 and 关羽.

Thought of anticipating their sunrise, but in the end there's nothing for us since we are not sure where's exactly the sun will rise at and there's no sunlight or any sun. But it's amazing that the sky brights up slowly without the sun.

Day Three
Had a long bus journey back to Wuhan again, however this time the bus driver drove rather recklessly and faster, maybe due to be back home early for the Mooncake festival. As this festival is the day when the family should gather together.

Anyway, yes, HAPPY MOONCAKE FESTIVAL!
This is my 2nd year for not celebrating in S'pore with my family as I was in Vietnam last year. Miss playing candles outside my house with my brother. :D
Had a short convo with my sis just now and knew that my brother did play the candles but for a little short while since it's windy back in S'pore from what she says.

3. We must uphold meritocracy and incorruptibility.
We provide opportunities for all, according to their ability and effort.
So did we provide any opportunities for anyone? From this trip, example for the rafting, if not for us (tourists), will the uncles and rafters have the chance to raft for us and thus earn a living? They are strong because of the rafting everytime. I saw some of us gave them tips after the rafting and the smiles on their faces is indescribable. Saw them changing in the Sampan and I bet they are heading back home since they've done their job. And I know what most is they wants us to enjoy the rafting because after the pulling, they are back in the Sampan with us and we told them "辛苦你了" and he repiled "好累oh".
One thing we have to do is to appreciate what people have done for us.
